The Status Quo

Legacy research management systems force investment firms to operate asset classes and related teams in isolated knowledge silos. This fragmentation inhibits cross-team insights and restricts collaboration, even in areas where sharing would benefit the organization and should be encouraged.

How VerityRMS Helps

VerityRMS provides investment managers with flexible, role-based and team-based permissions that balance collaboration with compliance. The platform helps organizations promote knowledge sharing while maintaining regulatory compliance and firm best practices—all managed through an intuitive admin interface.

With your firm’s best practices in mind, users can share content with the entire organization — or just their team — and trigger notifications based on any number of predetermined parameters. Importantly, data walls can be respected (for example, with trade recommendations) while collaboration is promoted with teams and content that can share information (for example, meeting notes).

How It Works

Permissioning is easily managed by your team via the VerityRMS Admin panel.

1. Define Roles

Create roles that precisely control who can view, create, edit, and share different types of content within your organization. Set granular permissions tailored to each role’s needs and compliance requirements.

2. Establish Team Structures

Configure team boundaries that respect information barriers while enabling collaboration within appropriate groups. Teams can be structured around investment strategies, asset classes, geographic regions, or any organizational division needed.

3. Configure Business Rules

You can also set up authoring, notification, and data rules that govern how content is shared, who receives notifications, and what actions can be taken with different content types. For instance, what types of notes can be shared with the entire organization or with only the user’s team, and what types of events should trigger various notifications.

4. Power Secure Collaboration

With your permission framework in place, users can confidently share content according to your firm’s policies. Information barriers remain intact where required (e.g., for trade recommendations), while collaboration flourishes where appropriate (e.g., for meeting notes and upcoming events).
