State of Buybacks: AMZN, GOOGL, AAPL Leading & META Lagging

Verity Director of Research Ben Silverman recently shared corporate buyback insights on TD Ameritrade’s Market on Close.

“Big technology companies like Amazon (AMZN) and Alphabet (GOOGL) bought back the largest share of their own stock in their history in the second quarter. Meta Platforms (META), previously Facebook (FB) buybacks shrank to the lowest level since 2021. Apple (AAPL) led all companies in total dollar volume of buybacks. 1,317 U.S. companies reported buybacks recently,” said Ben Silverman.
